Primary Pizza Review

by Holli Speechly / ga09022008
To get the songs perfect for the program we have Pizza. I make a pizza out of cardstock (poster board). I painted the sauce, cut out pepperoni's, mushrooms, olives, etc. I made the cheese out of shredded yellow paper. Glue it all on poster board, cut it in 8 triangles. I number the pieces 1-8 and place it on a pizza pan. I explain to the children that we are going to have a pizza party on the Saturday before the program...if they earn the whole pizza by singing all the songs perfectly. You can dress up like a chef to introduce this. The children sang great and sometimes they just earned half a piece and finished the next week. We have a final practice the Saturday before the program and after practice we have a pizza party. They work really hard to get ready and earn the party.
